New JAEintro Scholarships have been published under “Conexión-Cáncer CSIC” network. In total, the CSIC offers 10 scholarships for initiation in nanomedicine to choose between 38 training programs.
Nanosfun is hiring a candidate for a specific scholarship (JAE-ICU-CC-11) for the study and development of Nanoparticles for their intranasal administration and treatment of Glioblastoma.

The research project aims to develop new nanopharmaceuticals, for the treatment of Glioblastoma, made up of nanoscale coordination polymers (NCPs) that contain in their structure a metalopharmaceutic compound with anticancer activity (Pt (IV) prodrugs) and a species that acts as protein inhibitor of the bcl-2 family and potent inducer of pro-apoptotic proteins. With these systems we intend to maximize the therapeutic activity based on the combined action of both drugs, seeking synergy between the two species and even minimizing the resistance of tumor cells to drug treatment. Another objective is to adapt these systems for intranasal administration as a non-invasive alternative to intravenous administration and that has proven to be viable for the transport of drugs to the central nervous system. Therefore, the project integrates both the design, synthesis and physicochemical characterization of nanoparticles, as well as their therapeutic validation in vitro and in vivo.
The fellowships are offered by the Instituto de Neurociencias (IN) #JAECONEXIONES (Cáncer) to choose from among all the members of the “Conexión Cáncer CSIC” network. Specifically, Nanosfun is offering the JAEintro with the code: JAE-ICU-CC-11.
