During November 16th -19th, the 4th edition of the International Caparica Congress on Chromogenic and Emissive Materials (Online, IC3EM 2020) took place.
Our Senior Postdoc Dr. Claudio Roscini, was invited as a keynote speaker. Dr. Roscini presented his talk entitled: “Near-infrared responsive photoswitchable fluorescent materials“, where he showed the design of photomodulable materials based on phase change materials (PCM). Among other things, Dr. Roscini illustrated the audience with the modulation of thermally induced fluorescence through four different mechanisms. Besides, Dr. Roscini showed the design and fabrication of OFF/ON sensors based on cellulose papers with NIR-induced fluorescence modulation. This methodology allows establishing a system with high and straightforward tunability.
On the other hand, our PhD student Jaume Otaegui participated in the congress through an interesting shotgun presentation entitled: “Multi-Stimuli Responsive Emitting Materials“.
